Commercial Head, Uninterrupted Power

Our client is a leading player in the business of power generation.

Job Function

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the UPS Business in Singapore and assigned territories, driving the organization to meet/ exceed its growth and profitability objectives. The key focus is to implement sales growth programs to achieve the targeted sales revenue, growth goals, build and grow market share.

You will be responsible for growing and overseeing the team and the day to day operations of the business, including managing and driving all aspects of sales activities, key account management, customer support and service, sales and service planning, local inventory management and distribution. You will drive business improvement initiatives which optimise customer service and support, quality and operational efficiency.

In addition to providing strategic business leadership, you will be responsible for administering policies, maintaining a continual evaluation of business activities to the management team.

Responsibilities

•       Develop, present, and execute short-term and long-term business plans designed to ensure the growth of the business' market share and profitability. This will require input from various corporate staff and strong leadership skills to encourage participation.

•       Locate new business opportunities and proposes potential business deals by contacting potential customers, decision makers and target accounts. Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements and evaluating options. Grow the project pipeline.

•       Lead the local sales and service organisation, build team capabilities to meet performance of assigned functions; and build a strong team to close new business deals with persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince existing and potential key accounts/customers to do business.

•       Collaborate with global teams in managing new product introduction, strategic and financial planning, marketing and sales to leverage on best practices and shared resources.

•       Establish and maintain close customer and supplier relationships, participating in the sales/ purchasing process, maintaining a competitive market understanding, and actively promoting the business' products and accomplishments in the trade and general business press.

Qualifications/ Requirements

•      Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years’ relevant sales experience in the UPS business

•      Must be able to write and speak fluent English. Cross-cultural sensitivity and clear understanding of local business norms is a must

•      Must be familiar with the UPS industry ecosystem in the assigned territories, including end users, project consultants, specifiers, contractors and other related market players

•      Extensive experience in business development in direct end user accounts or through contractors and system integrators

•      Must have experience in the delivery of excellent customer service and pre and post-sales customer support as well as profitability management

•      Must be comfortable and competent managing in a customer service oriented culture.

Business Development Manager (Semicon)

Our client is a leading player in the design and manufacturing of semiconductor materials.

Job Purpose

Our client continues to reinforce its market position with the growing adoption of products across four major end markets : Smartphones, Automotive, Internet of Things and Infrastructure. In order to continue adoption of products, bring to customers new solutions, engage in emerging applications and markets, they need to intensify their business development efforts and continue to strategically position the company across all markets and regions. That’s why business development is critical. This role requires an expertise in either 5G, IoT, Edge-AI, Analog / Mixed-Signals products and a focus on capturing market-share in China.

Mission

Generate and then convert new opportunities into concrete business – you understand long-term market demand and requirements. For that, you will develop direct contacts within your market segment at different levels and across the whole value chain from foundries as direct customers and fabless companies to integrators at leading end-product companies. 

  • Define action plan & drive the whole organization (Sales, BU, Marketing)

  • Define forecast to feed 5-year business plan

  • Define IP roadmap high level requirements for 5G, IoT and Edge AI (Digital & RF)

  • Drive ongoing IoT/ AIoT projects with partners

  • Connect elements of the value-chain to accelerate FD-SOI towards wider adoption

Requirements

  • Hold an engineering degree related to semiconductors/ electronics

  • Design and/ or technical proficiency in Analog/ Mixed-Signal ICs

  • Have garnered a minimum of 5 years experience in one of defined market/ applications

  • Understanding of 5G, IoT and Edge AI requirements including business value

  • Develop direct contacts with key stakeholders from fabless to integrators segments

  • Previous senior experience in sales or marketing with a fabless or integrator

  • Previous experience in business development cycle from idea-to-adoption

  • Fluent in English and capable of managing technical and business projects

  • Strong communication skills to manage both external and internal partners
